Rapid response vehicles
NETS operates a few rapid response vehicles to support ambulance services. Senior NETS staff use these vehicles during complex missions. They help urgently transport equipment and specialist doctors, like surgeons, for emergency surgeries before the NETS team transports the patient.
Aircraft
NETS do not operate its own aircraft.
Most air missions across NSW are by twin-engined turbine-powered helicopters or fixed-wing planes under contract to the NSW government.
For longer distances, a jet plane is used. Occasionally, NETS travels out of NSW or Australia by charter jet, military aircraft or commercial airliner.
